in Sunset Beach (now Huntington Beach), California, a small beach community
located on Pacific Coast Hwy, between Seal Beach
to the north, and Huntington Beach to the south.
It is at the gateway to the major surfing beaches
of Southern California: Sunset Beach , Bolsa Chica
State Beach, Huntington Beach, Huntington State
Beach, and Newport Beach, or about 25 miles of uninterupted
sandy beach. Sunset Beach is about one hour south
of Los Angeles International Airport, and about
half an hour north or Orange County/John Wayne Airport.
Major Southern California attactions, such as Disneyland,
and shopping malls are nearby. The beach at Sunset
Beach is wide, open and generally uncrowded, and
is within walking distance of the shop. Other major
surfing beaches, such as Malibu and San Onofre,
are within a one hours drive along the 405 and 5
freeways, depending on the time of day.Surfboard and wetsuit rentals are also available. |

Directly across Pacific Coast Hwy from our shop,
within 50 yards of the beach, The Harbour Inn is
a recently built AAA three diamond award Bed and
Breakfast Inn, with rooms ranging from $129 mid week- $210 weekend
per day, double occupancy. Their phone numbers are

numerous restaurants nearby, within walking distance! |
Bruce Jones Surfboards has rentals available with
1/2 day, daily, 3 day, or weekly rates, each item
requires a credit card (not debit) for a deposit for the value of the items,
and a signed liability release form. Everyone renting or using the item must be present to sign individual liability forms. The surfboard
rentals range in size from
6 feet to 11 feet. Body Boards are Custom X.
Surfers need to be 18 years of age or older to rent a surfboard.
(Due to a recent court case, parents or legal guardians can no longer sign away a minor's rights) |
